I left Mad Hgts in 74 and moved to Haysi, VA in the Appalachian Mountains of southwestern VA. I attended UVA-Wise during this time and received my undergraduate degree in business education and met my husband. I taught at J.I. Burton HS in Norton, VA for two years before Scott and I moved to Merry Hill, NC.

After a long engagement (almost 18 years), we finally got married in 1998. We both wanted to be sure we were doing the right thing. :)

I've been teaching/administrating the Basic Skills Program (GED) here at Roanoke-Chowan Community College since 1988. In 1989, I started taking a graduate class at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC every summer and finally graduated with a MA in Adult Literacy in 1993. I remained in this field until I retired December 2015.

After Scott passed in 2021, I cleared out our home in NC and moved back to E Dallas July 9. 2023.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the 50th Reunion!
